Does my pup need to be vaccinated?All pups must be up to date on vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP, and flea/tick and heartworm prevention.

Does my pup need to be spayed or neutered?Pups do not have to be spayed or neutered if they are not aggressive or in heat.

Are any breeds not allowed at One Paw Away?All breeds are allowed if they pass the socialization test.

What is doggy day care?Doggy day care is a place to drop off your dog for the day to play with other furry friends in a well-controlled, fresh, safe, and enjoyable residential environment.

Is pick up and drop off available?Yes, pick up and drop off is available for your pup at an additional charge.

What are the benefits of doggy day care?Regular exercise to maintain a healthy weight, improved socialization with dogs and people, relief of boredom, separation anxiety and destructive behavior at home, and increased overall happiness.

Can you administer my dog’s medications? Is there an additional charge?Yes, we can administer your dog’s medication at no additional cost. Please note that it must be in the original prescription bottle with an appropriate date. Unfortunately, we cannot inject medications.

Can any dog come play at day care?We require that your pup first complete the meet & greet interview process at our residence so we can see how they interact with other dogs and people.

What are the requirements for One Paw Away?Current on Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella vaccines, Flea/tick-free and in good overall health, Free of wounds or stitches of any kind, Friendly with other dogs and people, Able to pass our meet & greet interview day at our residence, Oral Bordetella accepted if given within last six months. Injectable or intra-nasal accepted if given within last twelve months

What is the Meet & Greet and why is it required?We take safety very seriously; we’ve created policies to ensure a happy and healthy environment for all our pups. We hold ourselves to the highest safety standards. ALL dogs must pass our interview process before they can participate in our day care environment. The Interview is a minimum of four hours and is complimentary. Our goal is to see if your dog enjoys the open-play environment our residence offers.

Are you prepared in case of an illness or injury?Yes! We are certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Can I bring my pup’s breakfast or lunch to daycare?Yes! We feed the pup’s separately in our kitchen.

Do you have Cat care?We love cats & kitty’s too! We we will do drop in visits for your kitten/cat.

Where will you walk my dog?Our team is happy to walk your dog where you would normally walk them. We can stick to your community or walk them to a different area, depending on your preference.
